Starena hit the world cup for six after tendering against 16 invited seating companies from around the world, and was selected as the seating supplier for 6 of 9 venues for ICC World Cup Cricket 2007. Installing the acclaimed Starena stadium seating range.

This international success follows on from Starena's position as a principal supplier of seating to the Sydney and Athens Olympic Games and has enhanced Starena’s position as a major seating supplier to international events.

Dealing in remote locations with all the associated logistical, management and time pressures, is one that Starena thrives on. The ICC were ecstatic at the performance of Starena, in particular with Starena coming to the rescue at Sabina Park in Jamaica where a USA stadium seating supplier, 2 weeks out from the opening of the World Cup, had failed to complete his contract.  Donald Lockerbie the Chief Operating Officer & Venue Development Director of ICC Cricket World Cup wrote to Starena "to formally thank you and the entire Starena team for the "miracle" you performed".
